This fall NK Bride, in partnership with creative and talented industry professionals, styled this wedding fit for a modern, and artistic couple. This one-of-a-kind event brings florals, art, design, and elegance together, all captured by the talented photographer, Avery White. The story created through this couple is a message of love, and our talented team was inspired by the famous Brooklyn artist, Basquiat. Pulling inspiration from this urban style, and bold reflection on society. The team was able to create the perfect, unique day for our beautiful brides. The creative concept brought to life for this same sex couple pays homage to the creative and bold elements you can find in Basquiat's work.

The stunning decor at this shoot was the excellent work of Scarlett Expressions’ very own Vennissa. She was inspired by her love for Basquiat’s introspective nature, and social commentary. A painting featured on the venue wall was a selected portrait of Basquiat that utilized his artistic techniques. The tablescape itself was inspired by these techniques, layering bold colors and textures in a way that come together to create an appealing work of art. Table rentals, from Lovely Luxe Rentals, compliment these ideas with the bold blacks, and the depth of texture created by the velvet linens. Elegant tables and chairs from Heavenly Event Rentals softly support the chic aesthetic of the venue.

Flower displays, also by Vennissa, decorated the space, and brought extra color and life. The deep reds, oranges, and purples found in the powerful arrangements were the perfect compliment for the green walls inside of our venue The Foundry. Decorating the ceremony space, and the tables, the roses return us to the theme of love as a message. The little details on the tabletops by One Suite Day added to the overall perfection of the event. The menus designed perfectly to fit the plates are artfully complimented by the easel name cards.

Our beautiful brides, Emaani Thompson and Asia Lopez, were styled by NK Bride’s head designer Nathalie Kraynina. Nathalie styled the women in a powerful way, that expressed their uniqueness and bold beauty. The brides were kept in white to keep all the focus on them. The vintage reconstruction worn by Emaani Thompson was elegant and classy, and was complemented by the modern bridal cape. Asia wore a custom two piece set from the NK Bride collection that was simple yet sophisticated. Our brides looked stunning thanks to makeup artist Kara Baker’s soft glam creations and Li Bridal Designs excellent hair creations. The bold bridal hats and hairpieces were creations of Genevieve Rose Atelier, and were a perfect fit for the creative, and artistic inspiration. The shoes and jewelry from Nina polished off our brides looks.

The beautiful cake, by It’s Delicious Desserts, stood alone as a piece of art. It complimented the colors of our florals, and the brushstroke technique created the layered texture that inspired the decor. This event was made extra special by the sweet moments brought by Puff Delights.  They’re cotton candy machine was an extra special touch that felt fun and modern for our special brides. An extra special thanks to the wedding officiant from Once Upon a Vow
