Amanda Marie Telecky Custom Wedding Outfit and Vintage Veil Reconstruction
When Amanda began planning her destination wedding celebration in Florence, Italy, she wanted something different.
“This was our big celebration,” she said. “I wanted my outfit to feel more like a party than a traditional wedding look because I already did that.”
Amanda and her husband Jeff officially wed in 2023 at Hollywood Lake Park in Los Angeles in front of their immediate family. She wore Jeff’s late mother’s gown from the 70s for the intimate wedding.
“It felt right to wear that for our legal wedding, and go in a completely new direction for the celebration.”

Amanda had long been drawn to the idea of a wide-leg pantsuit with a fitted bodice. She wanted to build a look around her pair of glittering crystal-embellished heels by Mach & Mach.
Discovering Nathalie
Nathalie was the first designer she reached out to.
“Nathalie deeply understood my vision, which was so important,” she reflected. “I wanted something modern that could cross that threshold between cool and romantic.”
When Nathalie produced the first sketch, Amanda knew it was the perfect match.
“She’s an expert in her craft and she made the process easy,” she said. “We had so much fun at the fittings.”
The result was a sleek, sophisticated two-piece outfit designed: a structured corset with a draped neckline, paired with wide-legged, high-waisted trousers in double-faced off-white Spanish satin.
A Sentimental Veil
Amanda wore a veil that was first worn by her husband’s mother at her wedding and later passed down to her sister-in-law for hers.
“Nathalie’s studio did meticulous work,” she said. “Ash did restoration around the trim since there were some holes where there had previously been pearls. It looked brand new when they gave it back to me.”
Amanda also wore her mom’s pearls and her mother-in-law’s engagement ring.
“My mom’s still with us, but has Alzheimer’s and couldn’t travel. My husband’s mother has passed,” Amanda shared. “It was important for me to integrate something from each of them.”
“It just felt like we were all kind of coming together.”
A Meaningful Bench
Amanda and Jeff met on Hinge just before the pandemic and quickly connected.
“We had a first phone date that ended up lasting over three hours” she said.
They met in person for a socially distanced walk in McCarren Park in Brooklyn.
“As we got more comfortable, we sat on a bench and proceeded to talk until the sun went down,” she said. “It felt like a rapture, honestly. We ended up spending the entire weekend together and we fell fast.”
What made Amanda fall for Jeff wasn’t just their chemistry, but his extraordinary capacity to “love big.”
“He’s an incredibly generous human,” she said. “He checks in on all of his friends every week and has an amazing relationship with his sister.”
In 2022, Jeff proposed in front of the same bench where they shared their first date.
“He stops in front of our bench and kneels down, and I start uncontrollably crying.”
Jeff commissioned artist Steve Wasterval to paint them on that bench.
“It was so special to have so many amazing artisans be a part of our love story,” she said.
A Celebration in Italy
Amanda and Jeff chose Castello Il Palagio, just outside Florence, as their venue. It is a medieval 13th-century castle with large gardens that overlook vineyards and olive groves.
“It’s so beautiful there. I just couldn’t imagine doing it anywhere else,” Amanda said.
And her outfit matched the vibe.
“It felt like me — bold, romantic, and fun,” Amanda said of her look. “And Nathalie was so excited. It was like something she hadn’t done before, and it was a really lovely process for both of us.”
A Dreamy Celebration
The celebration in Florence unfolded like a dream — three days of joy, connection, and nonstop dancing.
Walking down the aisle with her father, who hadn’t been certain he could travel, was especially emotional.

“I was so overcome with joy and love, I couldn’t contain it. Out of nowhere, I’d start tearing up - just seeing how happy and full of life he was.”
Her outfit added to the magic of the day.
“It was overwhelming how happy we were.”
